10/17 - Appreciating family

My mom had to get another procedure done today, nothing intense it was just a stent removal but last time she had one of those, it got really serious and she had an immediate fungal infection. So although the procedure itself only took 10 minutes, I was a little nervous but I’m proud of myself for staying emotionally regulated, believing everything was going to be fine, and just praying for strength.

We made it home okay, and she’s doing fine but honestly just spent the rest of the day appreciating my mom and just so happy to have her healthy right now in my life. This year has been hard with her health, and it’s true, the more you don’t have something, the more you appreciate it. Maturing truly is when you stop getting annoyed with your parents and truly just accept the way they are and love them for it.

10/10 - thankful for my mom’s health and family.
